Novasolo.com was launched in late 2025. It represents a new chapter in our journey. For over three decades, NovaSolo has been a family-owned business dedicated to crafting timeless and thoughtfully designed furniture. With that experience, we decided to embrace the unique opportunity of managing the entire supply chain, connecting directly with those who welcome our pieces into their homes.

While our collections remain available through our trusted retail partners, our online shop allows us to engage in a more personal way. It offers us a deeper understanding of the people we create for, and it helps us challenge our business acumen to become a strong supplier in the home furniture market.

Novasolo.com allows us to provide an online experience that reflects the same attention and intention that goes into every design we create.

NovaSolo was founded in 1996 by Bo Lauritzen. At 29 years of age, Bo left Denmark to explore the world on two wheels. Setting off from Tacoma, Washington without much more than the clothes on his back, he eventually pedalled his way into the mystical city of Solo, Java, where an even greater adventure began. 

Solo became his home and the birthplace of his manufacturing and export business. For many years, NovaSolo supplied larger wholesalers in Europe and in the US in both the indoor and outdoor furniture sectors but after a devastating fire in the factory, followed by the 2008 economic crisis, it was time to try something new.

A drop-ship program was launched in 2011 exclusively featuring in-house designs and production under the brand name NovaSolo.

Fast-forward 30 years, Indonesia remains the centre of NovaSolo’s operations. NovaSolo continues to be a family-run business with Bo remaining at the helm, together with a close-knit team of dedicated people. 

With a Scandinavian philosophy in mind, our furniture prioritises function through form and elegance through the simplicity of clean lines, emphasising longevity through structural integrity.

Our furniture is built to endure the test of time, not only in its strength but in its beauty. Each individual piece is crafted by skilled carpenters using responsibly sourced wood from forests managed for natural regeneration. 

Design, raw material sourcing and craftsmanship are managed closely within NovaSolo’s own production facility ensuring consistency and stability at each stage. By overseeing the entire process, from initial conception to final delivery, we commit ourselves to a high level of quality and care that we aim to demonstrate through our product and service alike.
