For nearly thirty years, NovaSolo has been creating furniture for customers through trusted retail partners. In late 2025, we opened Novasolo.com, bringing that same craftsmanship directly to homes for the first time.It represents a new and exciting chapter in our journey as a furniture producer. Our ambition has always been to build a direct connection with those who welcome our furniture into their homes and after three decades of experience in the industry, it was a natural step to complete the cycle and open our own sales channel.
While our collections remain available through our trusted retail partners, our online shop allows us to interact in a more personal way. It gives us the opportunity to learn about the people we are creating for and gives insights on how to enhance our performance and ultimately, elevate your satisfaction. By managing the entire process, from procurement to delivery, it allows us the unique opportunity to provide an end-to-end experience wherein we can demonstrate our level of care through the quality of our product and our service alike.

NovaSolo was founded in 1996 by Bo Lauritzen. At the age of twenty-nine, Bo left Denmark to explore the world on a bicycle. Setting off from Tacoma, Washington, his uncharted course lead him into the heart of Java, known for its tradition of handicrafts and woodworking. The city of Solo was meant to be a rest stop and instead became his new home and the foundation for NovaSolo.
Bo started with a makeshift workshop in a rented house. The business grew quickly and in the first year became one of Indonesia’s largest exporters, supplying major wholesalers in Europe and America. Then in 2008, after a devastating fire in the factory, followed by the economic crisis, it was time to try something different; A drop-ship program was launched in 2011 exclusively featuring in-house designs and production under the brand name, NovaSolo.

Fast-forward 30 years, NovaSolo has become a family run business with Bo at the helm. Our company is registered in the US while the production continues to operate in Indonesia.
Embracing our Danish roots, a Scandinavian philosophy is at the forefront of our design and development process; our furniture prioritizes function through form, elegance through the simplicity of clean lines and longevity through structural integrity. The result is a product built to endure the test of time, not only through durability but through ageless beauty.
Each individual piece is crafted by skilled carpenters using responsibly sourced wood from forests managed for natural regeneration. Design, raw material sourcing and craftsmanship are managed closely within NovaSolo’s own 150,000 square foot production facilities to ensure efficiency and consistency at each and every step of the way. Once the furniture is carefully packed and protected for transit, it is loaded into a container and leaves our factory. The goods then travel aboard a shipping vessel to a destination portion on either the East or West Coast.
Upon arrival at one of our warehouses, where a first-in first-out system is in place, individual orders are processed and handled by our team of dedicated personnel.
The furniture is then dispatched from our nearest warehouse and delivered directly to your door from where it is welcomed into your home and the journey is finally complete!
